Qualifications

  • Professional or personal experience in supporting children & young people.
  • At least one spare bedroom dedicated to fostering.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Full-time commitment to the role.
  • Ability to work as part of a professional team, attend meetings, and engage in training.
  • Resilient, reflective, and ready to parent in a new and guided way.

Responsibilities

  • Support young people who are leaving high‑support settings such as residential care.
  • Help them transition to family life as smoothly as possible.
  • Provide a nurturing, therapeutic home environment.
  • Attend professional training and meetings as part of a team.
  • Engage in reflective practice and maintain professional parenting standards.
  • Participate in respite and support arrangements through the linked Foster Carer.

Candidate Profile
  • Professional or personal experience in supporting children & young people
  • At least one spare bedroom dedicated to fostering
  • Full driving licence
  • Full‑time commitment to the role
  • Ability to work as part of a professional team, attend meetings, and engage in training
  • Resilient, reflective, and ready to parent in a new and guided way
  • Open to registering as self‑employed
  • Preferred: No other children under 16 living in the home (exceptions may apply)
