Become a Lleol (local) Foster Carer with Flintshire County Council. This is fostering, but not as you know it. Lleol means local in Welsh and with fostering – maintaining locality is hugely important. There are children and young people in and around the Flintshire area who need time, patience, expertise — and above all — someone who will believe in them and fight their corner.
This is a specialist fostering role — supporting young people who are leaving high-support settings like residential care and helping them to transition to family life as smoothly as possible. We take a therapeutic approach to professional parenting, giving you every opportunity to develop your skills through full training, exceptional support, and a team walking alongside you every step of the way.
