A waste management company is seeking a Fork Lift Truck Waste Driver to ensure efficient waste handling and disposal at a production site. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Fork Lift Truck licence and have prior experience in a production environment. Responsibilities include safe operation of the Fork Lift Truck, waste segregation, and supporting teams in maintaining cleanliness. A safety-conscious and reliable approach is essential for this role, which offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment.

Hourly rate: Up to £14.87 per hour (DOE)
We’re currently recruiting a Fork Lift Truck Waste Driver to support waste management operations at a production site for 14forty. As a key member of the site team, you will play an important role in ensuring waste is handled, transported, and disposed of safely and efficiently, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant production environment. Operating a Fork Lift Truck safely to collect, transport, and remove waste from production and site areas
Ensuring waste is segregated, stored, and disposed of in line with site and environmental procedures
Supporting production and cleaning teams to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any faults or defects
Ensuring compliance with all health & safety, food safety, and site regulations at all times
Responding promptly to waste-related issues or spillages to maintain site safety
Keeping waste areas, compactors, and skips clean and tidy
Assisting with recycling and sustainability initiatives where required
Completing basic waste and safety records where necessary
Hold a valid Fork Lift Truck licence (counterbalance or relevant type)
Have previous experience operating an FLT, ideally within a production or manufacturing environment
Be safety-conscious with strong attention to detail
Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Have a flexible approach to working hours and tasks
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
