Location: Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex
Salary: £55,000 per annum (pro-rated for part-time, 2-3 days per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Forensic Psychologist to join our mental health hospital in Bexhill-on-Sea, supporting a service with 73 individuals. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialist psychological assessment, intervention, and treatment within a secure and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments and risk evaluations for service users.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment plans.
  • Provide expert consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for complex mental health and forensic presentations.
  • Contribute to service development and staff training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and reports in line with professional standards.
Requirements
  • HCPC registered Psychologist (Forensic or Clinical Psychology with forensic experience).
  • Demonstrable experience working in mental health or forensic settings.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, management, and rehabilitation in forensic mental health.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and team-working skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
