Clyde & Co is seeking a Forensic Accountant to join our Forensic Accounting Practice. You will provide forensic accounting input to investigations and quantification assignments drawn from all service lines of the global Firm. You will conduct your own work with supervision by the Practice's head, and work alongside them on larger matters. You will be expected to be involved in the promotion of our Forensic Accounting Practice internally to our lawyer colleagues. If desired, you can take charge of the performance and promotion of some of our services to certain of the Firm's departments or locations.
This in-house role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with lawyers and gain an understanding of their work, their objectives and their pressures. A notably feature of our department's work is the opportunity to experience a very wide range of matters, in terms of size, sector, jurisdiction and type of law.
Key Responsibilities
Liaising with lawyers to gather information and evidence relevant to the matter.
Derive relevant financial information from letters of claim, schedules of loss, witness statements, financial statements, expert reports, and other legal and financial documents.
Desktop research of businesses and individuals.
Analyse and explain financial information to a non-financial audience.
Critique opponent's expert accounting reports.
Present results in the form of memos, reports and/or schedules, as appropriate.
