Food Safety Manager

This is a standout and a newly created opportunity to take full ownership of food safety management on site – driving excellence across HACCP, QMS, allergens, auditing and culture. If you're ready to influence business–wide decision making and be the voice of food safety every single day, this role will put you right at the centre of it all.

What you'll be doing as the Food Safety Manager
  • Own the Food Safety & Quality Management System, ensuring policies, manuals, allergen control and documentation remain current, compliant and audit–ready.
  • Lead and develop site HACCP strategy, driving gold–standard plans, validation of CCPs, multidisciplinary engagement and change management integration.
  • Be the site champion of Food Safety Culture, embedding behaviours, training and engagement that strengthen integrity, awareness, responsibility and ownership at every level.
  • Control compliance to BRCGS and customer COPs, conducting GAP analysis, maintaining audit readiness and actioning improvements with pace and precision.
  • Front and lead GFSI, customer & certification audits, closing non–conformances, evidencing corrective actions, and turning learnings into sustainable process enhancement.
  • Manage incident response with authority, coordinating investigations, root–cause analysis, stakeholder updates and post–event performance reviews.
  • Build cross–functional relationships across Operations, NPD, Procurement, Planning & Commercial, acting as the technical expert and trusted customer–facing representative.
  • Lead and develop the technical team, ensuring training, capability, succession and KPI delivery meet the highest food safety expectations.
What you'll need as the Food Safety Manager:
  • Experience within a UK food manufacturing quality assurance or technical role is essential to be considered
  • HACCP & Food Safety level 3 as a minimum
  • High care experience is an advantage
  • Own transport
