Food Material Technologist - Permanent Role. 100% working from home.
Responsibilities
- You'll be a technical expert in raw materials, with the skills to oversee the validation of all new raw materials from your previous food manufacturing employer.
- Support department leadership with raw material and packaging specifications.
- Assist with raw material non-conformances and troubleshooting investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and sustainable preventative actions are implemented to remove the risk of reoccurrence.
- Maintain accurate data entry and ensure accurate creation and maintenance of all packaging bills of materials for the business.
- We are seeking a technical expert in packaging, overseeing the validation of all new packaging to ensure it is sufficiently specified for successful implementation.
- Lead all packaging non-conformance and troubleshooting investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and sustainable preventative actions are implemented to remove the risk of reoccurrence.
- Collaborate to support the business's innovation pipeline from a packaging perspective, ensuring new and innovative packaging is sourced and validated in line with the agreed critical paths.
Candidate
- You must have a degree (or equivalent) qualification in Packaging or a related Food / Scientific field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of Material Technology experience dealing with issues in a food manufacturing environment.
- You'll have a proven track record of successfully working with packaging/raw materials from a technical viewpoint.
- Have a strong knowledge of printing processes, artwork and packaging materials.
- You'll be competent in project managing your own workload.
- We need an excellent communicator who has influencing skills at all levels within a business.
- Due to the importance of information exchanges, you will need to have high attention to detail and accuracy of workability.

Benefits
- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE.
- Mon-Fri Office Hours, 37.5 Hours per week.
