Qualifications

  • Hold a full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points.
  • Committed to patient care.
  • Effective communicator in emotional circumstances.
  • Calm, considerate, careful driver.
  • Natural flair for team working and collaboration.
  • Physically fit for patient handling.
  • Pass an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Familiar with the local area.

Responsibilities

  • Transport elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to medical appointments.
  • Assist in transporting 'end of life' service users with empathy.
  • Build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Lift and secure service users in and out of the Ambulance.
  • Hand over patients to appropriate staff at treatment centres.
  • Transfer patients between beds and stretchers.
  • Assist service users with challenging behaviour or mental health issues.
  • Ensure the ambulance is safe, clean, and tidy.
