Overview

Fleet Programmes Project Manager — Onsite at HMNB Clyde Faslane site. Location: Faslane, Helensburgh, GB, G84 8HL. Role Type: Full time / Permanent. Compensation: Up to £59,500 depending on experience + Benefits.

Lead critical defence projects that shape the future. The role involves delivering complex submarine maintenance projects that support the Royal Navy and national defence, leading multi-disciplinary teams, driving innovation, and achieving project outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the planning, monitoring and delivery of in-service submarine maintenance projects from initiation to completion
  • Managing resources, budgets, risks and change using formal project management tools and processes
  • Building and leading integrated delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Managing key customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and satisfaction

This role is full time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

Essential experience
  • Proven experience managing multiple complex projects through the full lifecycle
  • Strong background in change and risk management
  • Skilled in process improvement and project reporting
  • Proficient in using business applications and project management tools
  • Experience within the defence industry or other highly regulated environments
Qualifications
  • HNC or higher in a relevant discipline
  • Project management knowledge and experience in a regulated environment
  • Ideally holds or is working towards a professional qualification such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2
Security and compliance
