As the Fleet Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery of overhaul, modification and upgrade projects for our client's fleet. You will be responsible for maintaining a strong safety culture, managing site-specific initiatives and driving continuous improvement through KPI development and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain HSEQW policies to foster a safe working environment and engage the team in safety improvements
  • Conduct regular reviews and ensure continuous improvements in site-specific initiatives
  • Oversee the efficient delivery of overhaul, modification, and upgrade projects
  • Drive business improvement through KPI development and performance monitoring
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the first point of contact for operational issues
  • Manage financial and commercial aspects, including budgeting, contract compliance, and supplier performance
  • Ensure fleet compliance with maintenance documentation, regulations, and company policies
  • Drive reliability and performance improvements for the fleet
  • Oversee depot assets, facilities, and equipment
  • Lead and develop a high-performance team, fostering employee engagement and supporting career growth
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of fleet maintenance techniques and procedures specifically rail
  • Broad technical understanding of the relevant rail fleet management
  • Proven experience in managing and leading multi-functional teams in a rail, production, fast-moving, or complex environment
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong contract and commercial experience
  • Experience in managing budgets effectively
  • Ability to negotiate with workplace representatives
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and principles
