Job description
Overview

Yorkshire Ambulance Service: Ancillary Services Team, is offering a 6 hour per week Premise Cleaner position at our Grassington Ambulance Station.

Shifts are 2x3 hours per week, scheduled as Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Friday, between 07:00 and 14:00. Fixed working times will be agreed. Working days and times may vary due to the 24/7 Emergency Service provision. Allocation of Bank Holiday work may be required.

Responsibilities
  • undertake cleaning, decontamination, and other associated tasks to meet high standards of cleanliness and Infection Prevention and Control measures across stations and sites;
  • ensure activities are performed in line with the Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures, and daily work schedules;
  • maintain and manage stocks of cleaning materials; record daily activities; respond to urgent spillages and ad-hoc or deep cleaning needs as requested or identified;
  • use basic IT for communications and timesheets as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • NCFE IPC Level 2;
  • ability to use basic IT (emails, timesheets);
  • very basic Physical Capability Assessment (PCA) is mandatory prior to any unconditional offer of employment;
  • read and understand the attached job description and complete the Supporting Information section with relevant experience to match the person specification.
Additional Information
  • The Yorkshire Ambulance Service covers a large geographical area and provides 24/7 emergency and healthcare services.
  • The role requires a flexible and can-do attitude towards ad-hoc changes in scheduled work and potential alternative location coverage within shifts; short-notice changes may occur due to the Emergency Services provision.
  • The successful candidate will undertake a very basic 12–15 minute Physical Capability Assessment.
