St Nicholas C of E Primary School, Kenilworth. At St Nicholas C of E Primary School, our vision is clear: Aim high, be courageous, show love and kindness. We are seeking to appoint two skilled and caring teaching assistants who will bring this vision to life every day—supporting children to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. Both roles are fixed‑term until July 2026, working 30 hours 50 minutes per week, Monday to Friday. Salary Scale: TA2 Band F (7–11) – Pro‑rata.
This role sits at the heart of our Reception provision, where the foundations for learning are built through strong relationships, play and early language. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, enthusiastic and able to create an environment in which our youngest children feel safe to take risks, try new things and aim high from their very first days in school. Experience of EYFS practice, speech and language support and high‑quality interaction would be advantageous.
(KS1 Classroom Support – AM / KS2 Writing Interventions – PM) Each morning you will support teaching and learning in a Key Stage 1 classroom, helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. In the afternoons, you will lead small‑group KS2 writing interventions, enabling pupils to grow as writers and learn with courage and resilience. This role requires flexibility, initiative and the ability to build trusting, respectful relationships—reflecting our commitment to show love and kindness in all we do.
St Nicholas C of E Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment.
