  • Review referrals to the elderly department.
Job description

This new post presents an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Term Senior Clinical Fellow for 6 months to join the established West Suffolk Foundation Trust, within Acute General Medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general care at Registrar level to the patients admitted, including supervision of day-to-day oid management.
  • Conduct ward rounds.
  • Undertake appropriate investigations and therapeutic procedures under supervision if necessary.
  • Train junior colleagues.
  • In case of any difficulties, ensure that advice is sought from a senior colleague.
  • Take part in regular ward‑based audit programme.
  • Provide advice/supervision to trainees on adjacent ward when the registrar for that ward is absent.
  • Attend fortnightly outpatient clinic.
  • Review referrals to elderly department.
  • Currently an 11 week rota with 16 varied.

Adult and paediatric community services, provided in collaboration with West Suffolk Alliance partners, include a range of nursing, therapy, specialist, and ongoing temporary care and rehabilitation, some at our Newmarket Community Hospital.
