Fitter

Location: Wimborne

Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, fit, and test products to agreed engineering standards and processes
  • Carry out surveys, inspections, and repairs in line with approved practices
  • Ensure strict compliance with quality procedures, defined processes, and documentation requirements
  • Work independently to complete fitting tasks without supervision
  • Identify and support productivity and performance improvements to reduce costs and drive efficiency
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all health, safety, and environmental requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship or gained equivalent hands-on fitting experience
  • Strong background in mechanical fitting, assembly, or repair within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Good understanding of quality systems, measurement tools, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with lean methodology and continuous improvement practices
  • Ability to manage workload effectively, solve problems, and work well in a team environment
