Qualifications

• Experience in a Fitness Centre Attendant or similar role.
• Able to work independently and flexibly, including weekends as needed.
• Experience conducting fitness appraisals and programs.

About the Opportunity

Join RACV Torquay as a Fitness Centre Attendant and help deliver an exceptional wellbeing experience for our members, guests, and visitors.

We’re looking for a motivated and service‑focused Fitness Centre Attendant to support daily operations of our Fitness Centre, provide high‑quality health and fitness guidance, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all users.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold RACV service standards.
• Supervise gym areas, monitor equipment usage, and support members with safe, effective fitness advice and programs.
• Conduct fitness assessments, design programs, and provide up‑to‑date health and fitness information.
• Maintain presentation standards, support daily operations, and contribute to continual service improvement.
• Promote safe work practices and assist with incident reporting when required.
• Reception and administration tasks as directed by Managers

What you’ll need to be successful

• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport.
• Customer‑service focused, proactive, and a team player.
• Physically fit with high attention to detail and a professional approach.
• Able to work independently and flexibly, including weekends as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Level 2 First Aid & CPR
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Experience in a Fitness Centre Attendant or similar role
• Cert III Fitness (minimum)
• Working with Children’s check
• Cert IV in Fitness, tertiary studies in Fitness
• Group fitness instructor credentials
• Experience conducting fitness appraisals and programs
