Job description

A valuable opportunity to join a notable environmental compliance company that provides a range of professional Asbestos and Fire Safety services to a nationwide client base. They are currently looking for an experienced and versatile Fire Risk Assessor based in the South West London area. The ideal applicant will be experienced in carrying out fire risk assessments on a range of site types and will be able to demonstrate their excellent technical fire safety knowledge and experience. Applications from Twickenham, Epsom, Mitcham, Bracknell and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion – Technician status with recognised bodies IFSM/IFPO/IFE/NAFRAR.
  • Ideally come from a strong Fire/H&S Consultancy and technical background within the fire industry.
  • Experience in undertaking fire risk assessments on various properties, including commercial, industrial and public sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
  • Well versed with the Health & Safety procedures.
  • Must be prepared to travel extensively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments in various industry sectors, including commercial, industrial and residential.
  • Produce fire risk assessment reports and ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Legislation with regards to fire.
  • Deliver presentations and training.
  • Provide high level consultancy advice.
  • Provide Fire and Safety Guidance and investigate incidents.
  • Deal with issues effectively and appropriately.
  • Liaise with clients and staff.
  • Show competency in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments without supervision.
