Job description

Our client is a prominent multi-faceted consultancy specialising in Asbestos & Health & Safety services. They are actively seeking an experienced and accredited Fire Risk Assessor based in or around the Liverpool area. The ideal applicant will have extensive experience working as a Fire Risk Assessor, carrying out in-depth fire risk assessments on large commercial and industrial sites and who is third‑party accredited. Applications from Birkenhead, St Helens, Ellesmere Port, Warrington and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications
  • Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion – Technician status
  • Preferred accreditation from recognised bodies IFSM/IFPO/IFE/NAFRAR
  • Strong background in Fire/H&S Consultancy and technical experience within the fire industry
  • In‑depth knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments on commercial, industrial and public sector properties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Well‑versed with Health & Safety procedures
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments across various industry sectors, including commercial, industrial and residential
  • Deliver presentations and training
  • Provide high‑level consultancy advice
  • Provide fire and safety guidance and investigate incidents
  • Produce fire risk assessment reports and ensure compliance with the Health & Safety legislation concerning fire
  • Deal with issues effectively and appropriately
  • Liaise with clients and staff

The successful post‑holder will be smart, confident, methodical and able to demonstrate competency in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments without supervision.

Must be prepared to travel extensively.
