Special Projects Surveyor (Cladding and Fire Safety)

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading housing provider for a Fire Projects Surveyor with expertise in cladding and fire safety. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-profile remedial projects that directly impact resident safety and satisfaction.

The Role

You will manage latent defect and remedial works projects, with a focus on cladding and fire safety. The role involves overseeing construction and consultancy contracts, managing consultant and contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with building and fire safety regulations. You will also play a key role in engaging residents and stakeholders, including attending evening meetings when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead remedial works projects to meet time, cost and quality standards
  • Procure and manage contractors and consultants to ensure value for money
  • Provide technical advice and oversee compliance with building regulations and fire safety standards
  • Liaise with residents and stakeholders, resolving complaints and providing updates
  • Monitor health, safety and statutory compliance, reducing risk exposure
  • Contribute to wider property team strategies, budgets and improvement plans
About You
  • Proven experience in project management within property, construction or housing
  • Strong technical knowledge of cladding, fire safety and building regulations
  • Experience in contract procurement and management

  • Flexible to attend evening and occasional weekend meetings
