Here is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to join a fast growing and highly successful asbestos and environmental compliance company as a Fire/Health & Safety Consultant based in and around the Chelmsford area. Companies would also consider candidates with just Fire or Health and Safety Experience. Consideration will also be given to London, Harlow, Braintree, Basildon, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

” Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion Technician status with recognised bodies – IFSM/IFPO/IFE would be preferred.

” Ideally, they are looking for an individual who comes from a good educational, consultancy and technical, Health & Safety background within the fire industry, although having experience in other industries would be beneficial but not essential.

” Must have an in-depth knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments on various properties, including commercial, industrial and public sectors.

” Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

” Must have good client-facing, people management and IT skills.

” Must be well versed with the Health & Safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

” Carrying Health & Safety services as below:

” Undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments in various industry sectors, including commercial, industrial and residential.

” Fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire warden, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings, delivering training courses, etc.

” Delivering presentations and training.

” Managing and developing the company’s client base.

” Providing Fire and Safety Guidance and investigating incidents.

” Producing fire risk assessments reports and ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Legislation with regards to fire.

” Dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.

” Liaising with clients and staff.

” Getting involved in training.

” Liaising with clients on a regular basis.

” Dealing with Health & Safety issues effectively and appropriately.

The successful post-holder will be of smart disposition, confident, methodical and have the ability to show competency in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments without supervision.
