Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fire Door Carpenter to join our team at Coastline. As a Fire Door Carpenter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and surveying of fire doors on Coastline properties throughout Cornwall, including out of hours service. You will ensure that works are carried out in the most cost effective and efficient manner, whilst complying with Fire and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and survey fire doors on Coastline properties throughout Cornwall, including out of hours service.
• Ensure works are carried out cost‑effectively and efficiently while complying with Fire and Safety regulations.
• Use a mobile device and have basic IT skills on the job.

Qualifications and Skills

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Joinery for Fire door installers or other relevant trade, or equivalent on-the-job competence.
• Good standard of education.
• Current CSCS card preferred, or ability to obtain one on appointment.
• Experience working with customers, independently and as part of a team, especially in customers’ homes.
• Full driving licence and satisfactory basic DBS check.
• Local housing knowledge and experience in the social housing sector preferred.

• You may be required to work in out‑of‑hours service.
