Job description

Join RMG as a Fire Asset Auditor and help ensure the safety and compliance of residential buildings across your region. You'll be part of a team committed to high-quality service and creating safe environments for residents and clients.

Where will I be working?

Predominantly site based you'll be conveniently located to cover a portfolio across Manchester and North West regions with frequent long distance travel and overnight stays required.

More about your role

As a Fire Asset Auditor, you will be responsible for inspecting and auditing a range of fire safety assets—such as apartment doors, communal doors, emergency lighting, alarms and lifts—across residential apartment blocks. You will conduct scheduled site visits within a given geography, ensuring that all assets meet health and safety regulations and identifying any risks. Your findings will be reported clearly and promptly to Property Managers and clients. This is a mobile role requiring daily travel to multiple sites and may include evening or weekend work to meet tenant or client needs. You may also be asked to travel nationally to cover colleague absences, so flexibility is key.

More about you
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle required
  • Meticulous eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Able to plan workload efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Personable nature with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and clients
  • Comfortable with physically demanding work, including walking multiple flights of stairs during site checks
  • Experience using IT packages, including Excel and Word
What does RMG have offer you?

You will benefit from a superb package of company benefits including:

  • 27 days holiday plus all Bank Holidays
  • Free Healthcare cashback Plan (re-claiming for items such as optical treatment, dental care, physiotherapy and GP Charges – plus more! with generous fixed amount, plus 24/7 access to remote GP Services)
  • Sponsorship for study and professional qualifications (up to 4 study days)
  • Pension scheme (matched up to 7%) and Life assurance (4 x annual salary)
  • As part of Places for People Group (RMG's parent company), you will have access to Our Place Rewards, where you can choose from a huge range of shopping discounts, store vouchers and reloadable e‑cards, earn cashback on online purchases and take advantage of many exclusive offers!
