Fire Alarm Engineer

Service, Maintenance & Small Works

Newbury

£36,000 - £42,000 DOE.

Door to door travel, 21 days holiday plus bank holidays (goes up with each year served), bonus and incentives, training and progression, sick pay.

The Role

An established, NSI Gold accredited fire and security business is looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to join its service and maintenance team. This is a field‑based role focused on servicing, maintaining and carrying out small works on commercial sites, primarily large retail environments.

Engineers are trusted to manage their own diaries and workloads, with a supportive and hands‑on management team that regularly meets engineers on site and in person. Installation works are handled by a separate install team, allowing you to focus on service and maintenance.

  • Service and maintain fire alarm systems
  • Fault finding and repairs
  • Small works and minor system alterations
  • Working to current fire safety standards and regulations
  • Completing job sheets and reports accurately
  • Professional interaction with clients on site

Working Hours

Monday to Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm

Overtime
  • Weekdays & Saturdays: Time and a Half
  • Sundays: Double Time
  • Overtime is available but not excessive
