We are recruiting for an independent financial planning firm in Exeter who have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IFA to join their team. This role offers clients to inherit from day one, and due to succession planning there will be a significant amount of additional clients to take over in time.
Our client enjoys extensive internal referrals and inbound enquiries and as such there is no expectation for someone to be doing independent business development. There is a long term career path for someone here, including potential equity in the future, so there are looking for someone with a longer term vision to work within a small team and help them continue to grow.
We are looking for someone with at least 3+ years advising experience, who is confident and knowledgeable enough to hit the ground running without too much handholding. Experience of trusts is highly desirable due to the nature of a lot of the work they do with clients. Chartered status isn't required, although they would like someone to either be progressing with advanced exams or have the ambition to complete these in the future.
As this is a small financial planning team and part of a larger company where developing internal relationships is key to the ongoing success of the business, they would prefer someone to be onsite/out meeting clients at least 4 days a week. However, they are open to being flexible on this for the right person.
