KCR Solutions are excited to be recruiting a Financial Controller to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial business based in Middlesbrough. If you are a proactive, qualified accountant with the ability take ownership of the core financial operations. Leading a small team, oversee group reporting, and act as a strategic partner to divisional directors. With upcoming expansion into new territories and ongoing investment opportunities, this is a pivotal role offering exposure to multiple sectors and the chance to shape financial systems and processes during a period of rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Manage monthly and year‑end close, delivering accurate management accounts and consolidated group statements.
  • Lead statutory accounts preparation and coordinate external audits.
  • Strengthen financial controls, compliance, and risk management across the group.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Provide clear, actionable financial insights to senior leadership and divisional directors.
  • Champion best‑practice processes and unlock the full potential of Sage Intacct.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key KPIs to ensure financial resilience.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering accountability and high performance.
  • Build strong partnerships with divisional directors, advising on financial implications of growth plans, investments, and strategic initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative, problem‑solving culture within the finance function.
