Financial Controller | Sittingbourne, Hybrid | £70k + Bonus

We’re working exclusively with a global industrial manufacturer that’s making serious moves in the FMCG space. With operations across Europe and a reputation for precision, innovation, and high standards, they’ve recently expanded their footprint with three new plants across Europe. This is a business that doesn’t just talk about transformation — they deliver it. Now, they’re looking for a seasoned finance professional to take the reins and drive performance across these new sites.

Role Summary:

This is a high-impact, international role for a Controller who’s ready to lead from the front. You’ll be the financial lead across three Plants, with 3 dedicated site leads feeding in, shaping reporting, driving profitability, and building relationships on the ground. It’s hands-on, strategic, and ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and knows how to get things done. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate controlling activities across three Plants
  • Manage monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in line with corporate standards
  • Drive KPI tracking, production cost analysis, and customer profitability insights
  • Partner with plant leadership and finance teams to improve results and efficiency
  • Support investment proposals and financial justifications
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit and group accounting standards
  • Implement new processes and automate repetitive tasks
  • Travel quarterly to each plant to build relationships and support development
  • Act as a trusted business partner to operations and group finance leadership
Candidate Profile:
  • Formally Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in multinational industrial environments
  • Strong IT and data analysis capabilities
  • Proven track record in cross-functional and international roles
  • Experience implementing finance systems and driving change
  • High standards, strong leadership, and clear communication
  • Resilient, self-driven, and results-focused
  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity
