Role – Financial Controller

Location: Oldham

Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 + additional benefits

Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to work for a fast‑growing, acquisitive services organisation based just outside Oldham.

Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified, with training within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical accounting background and knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Experience managing staff; capability to supervise and develop a financial accounting and transaction team.
• Exposure to a PE‑backed business is a distinct advantage.

Key duties for the Financial Controller role will involve:
  • Lead and manage the financial accounting and transactional teams
  • Oversee preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements
  • Lead on month‑end reporting
  • Monitor and manage cashflow
  • Lead on the external audit process
  • Drive process improvements
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting process
  • Integrate financial processes within the wider group
  • Provide senior management with financial information
  • Ad‑hoc project work
