A leading recruitment firm is seeking a qualified Financial Controller in Mansfield, United Kingdom. Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the UK. Provide strategic financial insight to support commercial decisions, operational improvements, and long-term business planning. Partner with the UK leadership team to drive profitability, margin improvement, and cost control. Deliver analysis and recommendations on capital investments, pricing, and major customer agreements.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with GAAP and Group requirements. Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate audit activities with external auditors. Oversee tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and payroll taxes. Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to Group policies and financial governance standards.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting systems, and operational efficiency. Support manufacturing and supply chain teams with cost analysis, inventory control, and production variance reporting. Implement and monitor KPIs to measure performance across financial and operational areas. Lead initiatives to enhance cash flow management and working capital performance.
Lead, coach, and develop the UK finance team to build capability and ensure strong succession planning. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. Work cross-functionally to strengthen financial understanding across non-finance teams.
Serve as the primary financial liaison between the UK and the Group finance team. Align UK reporting, forecasting, and controls with global standards. Support group-wide initiatives, system upgrades, and strategic projects.
Hands on, qualified, Financial Controller with an appetite for process improvement and Team development. Manufacturing experience preferred.
£75-80k with progression opportunity
