Job summary

A leading finance recruitment firm in the Newtownabbey region is seeking a Financial Accountant to support their continued growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit leadership, and finance development. This role requires a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical abilities, proficiency in accounting software and Excel, and excellent analytical skills. A competitive salary of £48,000 to £55,000 along with various benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accreditation.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience.
  • High competency in accounting software and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial accounts and ensure compliance.
  • Produce statutory reports and support year-end statements.
  • Manage VAT, HMRC, and compliance submissions.
  • Oversee fixed asset register and cashflow management.
  • Collaborate with operational teams for decision-making.
  • Lead external audits and liaise with auditors.
