Financial Accountant - 6 Month FTC
Department: Accounting & Finance | Location: London, UK
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Davies Group, a leading consultancy firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making and financial planning within the business. This role involves working with different levels and requires an individual who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely month and year end closure procedures, including journal calculation and posting, P&L review, balance sheet & intercompany reconciliations.
- Support external audit processes, including document preparation & submission, support on interim and final audit testing, and liaising with auditors.
- Assist with tax preparation, providing documentation as requested by external advisors or Head of Tax.
- Understand and support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for your entity.
- Support generation, communication and finalisation of the monthly timesheet process.
- Understand and support cash and bank reconciliation processes.
- Credit control and cash management.
- Support in project-focused accounting deliverables.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and investigate issues/queries.
- Cross training within the Consulting & Technology division.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Your impact: You will work closely with colleagues within the Consulting & Technology Finance team, within Davies Resourcing and will gain insight and exposure across a variety of functional teams across the Group's Global Solutions division. You will support the wider team as well as transactional accountancy and month end / year end reporting.
