Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly Bank consolidation file and control reports.
• Compile internal Profit by Clusters report and ensure timely FINREP submissions.
• Prepare the consolidated quarterly FINREP report with review comments.
• Assist with the consolidation of various business submissions and produce financial statements.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Production of monthly Bank consolidation file
• Prepare monthly consolidation journals
• Compile the internal Profit by Clusters report
• Run monthly control reports and ensure no issues exist including monitoring intercompany matrix
• Ensure timely submissions of the FINREP packs from the business units
• Preparation of the consolidated quarterly FINREP report including raising review comments and challenge to the business units
• Preparation of the Office of National Statistics returns
• Assist with the consolidation of business submissions of data as required, including summary of intangible assets, IFRS 9 impairment, data for impact assessment of new accounting standards
• Produce high quality interim and year-end financial reports including the Banking Group's consolidated and stand-alone financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will play a key role in providing wide ranging support across external and internal reporting, and oversight of the finance functions in the banking segments
• Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in month-end and financial control procedures with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

Qualifications

• A qualified Accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
• Strong organisational skills including a good track record of delivering effective reporting under pressure and to tight business-critical deadlines
• Evidence of working well within teams and proven ability to engage with a variety of people across multiple departments
• A strong technical background
• IT literate with advanced knowledge of Excel
• IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
• Experience of FINREP
• Experience of SAP
• Experience of producing consolidated financial statements
• Experience of Workiva
