Job Overview

Full application to completion pipeline chasing, ensuring all enquiries and complex queries relating to underwriting and completions are dealt with promptly, efficiently and in accordance with the Bank's service standards, policies and procedures and the UK Finance Mortgage Lenders Handbook for Conveyancers.

Responsibilities
  • Assess mortgage application and post‑offer documents and process Certificate of Titles in line with the Bank's policy and standards.
  • Manage escalation calls from mortgage intermediaries and solicitors.
  • Liaise with underwriters and legal where necessary on complex policy decisions.
  • Provide referral/recommendations to underwriters for offer approvals with rationale support.
  • Identify any potentially fraudulent activity and escalated concerns to management in line with procedure.

Qualifications
  • Previous customer service experience within a regulated environment (financial services, banking or utilities).
  • Confident speaking to customers on the phone in relation to mortgage application processing.
  • Strong knowledge in stakeholder management, hitting KPIs and knowledge of mortgages is desirable.
