Job description

Job Title: Finance Systems Developer (Anaplan)

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: London

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 29th August 2025

We are currently looking for a technically strong and self-directed Finance Systems Developer to join the Finance Systems team on a permanent basis in London.

This role will be critical in supporting the continued development of our Assets under Management (AuM) and Revenue and Profitability models, and will play a key part in evolving our Anaplan system architecture to meet growing business demands.

You will be part of a small Finance Systems team working closely with members of the FP&A, Commercial Finance and Financial Reporting teams as well as external consultants to deliver scalable, high-performance models with minimal supervision.

About the role
  • Design, build and maintain Anaplan models across our AuM, Revenue, Budgeting, Forecasting and Profitability use cases through the full model lifecycle: architecture, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Work closely with Finance stakeholders to gather requirements, convert them into technical specifications, and deliver effective Anaplan solutions (models, dashboards, XL reports) utilising best practice methodology.
  • Manage Anaplan hierarchies and system configuration.
  • Continuous optimisation of existing models to enhance functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Conduct Anaplan model reviews to ensure adherence to best practice methodology (The Anaplan Way).
  • Support ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) across our Development, UAT and Production environments.
  • Troubleshoot Anaplan model issues and ensure their timely resolution.
  • Develop Anaplan model documentation and deliver end user training.
  • Support the wider Finance technology architecture (e.g. Quartal billing system, Microsoft Copilot, Power BI).
  • Implementation of AI use cases (as they become available).
About you
  • Anaplan Certified Model Builder (Levels 1, 2 & Anaplan Way), with Level 3 or Certified Solution Architect being a distinct advantage.
  • Proven experience in building, optimising and maintaining Anaplan models, ideally within a financial services or consultancy environment.
  • Excellent understanding of Anaplan architecture, UX, and advanced modelling techniques (formulas, modules, lists, dashboards, UX design, ALM).
  • Experience managing large data sets within Anaplan - knowledge of data integration APIs (e.g. Anaplan Connect) is a plus.
  • Understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting processes is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodology and experience of process improvements.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel).
