Join Our Finance Team at The Compleat Food Group!

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Project Manager to join our team on a 3 month fixed term contract.

You will have a pivotal role to play in shaping business performance at our Nottingham sites. This is more than reporting numbers, it’s about driving insight, influencing decisions, and delivering measurable impact through critical projects.

Working Hours:

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30am - 4pm. We also offer Hybrid working.

Your Duties Will Include:
  • Lead and support commercially focused operational projects, driving initiatives from concept through to delivery to improve site performance and profitability
  • Evaluate and challenge capital investment projects, ensuring robust business cases, clear ROI, achievable timelines, and effective risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Own the development and delivery of performance reporting frameworks, providing daily and weekly KPIs and variance analysis that actively support project decision-making
  • Partner with operational teams on cost and efficiency improvement projects, embedding strong overhead control through education, governance, and sustainable cost-awareness initiatives
  • Provide financial leadership across planning cycles, including project-level forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-term performance modelling to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure financial governance within projects, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring internal controls to manage and mitigate project and business risks
  • Act as a key finance partner within cross-functional project teams, delivering insight, challenge, and recommendations that influence outcomes and drive measurable performance improvements at site level
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW etc)
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Natural leader
  • Great communicator and comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven track record of driving business performance through providing accurate information and challenging results
  • ERP knowledge
  • FMCG experience
