Finance Process Manager (R2R)

6-Month FTC • Location: Hook (2 days per week) + UK-wide travel

Serco is undergoing a major finance transformation as we implement SAP S/4HANA across our UK and international operations. We are seeking an experienced R2R Finance Process Manager, joining on a 6‑month fixed term contract, to support critical phases of this programme.

This is a high‑impact role ideal for senior finance professionals with significant experience in ERP transformation, SAP S/4HANA design, testing, and process implementation.

What you'll be doing :
  • Act as a key R2R representative within the SAP S/4HANA programme.
  • Support system design validation, ensuring configuration aligns with accounting policy, controls and business requirements.
  • Lead and execute testing cycles, including unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Create, maintain and execute R2R test scripts, scenarios and documentation.
  • Log, track, resolve and re‑test defects alongside IT, ERP partners and workstream leads.
  • Develop future‑state R2R process maps, desktop procedures and control frameworks.
  • Support cutover activities, including data validation, reconciliation and cutover rehearsals.
  • Provide post‑go‑live hypercare support and ensure transition into BAU.
What you'll bring :
Essential
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA).
  • Significant hands‑on SAP S/4HANA experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in ERP finance transformation.
  • Strong, practical understanding of end‑to‑end Record to Report (R2R) processes.
  • Experience documenting processes, controls and operating procedures.
Desirable
  • Experience supporting large‑scale SAP deployments across multiple business units.
  • Experience working in a complex, multi‑site or multinational organisation.
  • Exposure to supporting cross‑functional integration in SAP programmes.
