  • Position: Finance Manager
  • Salary: up to £50k
  • Location: Polegate
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

My client has a vacancy for a Finance Manager to join its thriving business to take a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of its business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a team of five across finance and debt management, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and forward-looking financial insight to support strategic decision-making. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior role following the departure of their long-standing Finance Manager.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Financial Control & Month-End
  • Regulatory & Compliance functions
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
  • Cashflow & Operational Finance
  • Management Information & Bonus Calculations
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team of five

The skills and experience you’ll have include:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with FCA regulations (highly desirable)
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills
  • Experience producing management accounts, forecasts, and board-level reporting
  • Strong leadership abilities with team management experience
  • AAT Level 4 qualified, with progression towards CIMA or ACCA desirable
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and proactive approach
