Job summary

The ideal candidate will be CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified and possess strong communication and IT skills, including Microsoft's Excel, Sage, and more. Job description

Overview

Our client - a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Leicester - is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Group Financial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Production of management accounts
• Supervision of a small team
• Control account reconciliations
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Accruals & prepayments
• Inventory controls
• Managing fixed assets register
• General ledger, incl. journal preparation & posting
• VAT returns
• Assist with completion of month-end, ad-hoc weekly / monthly reporting

The Right Person

• Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA
• Ideally with experience of imports & exports
• Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
• Able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a large organisation
• Excellent planning, organisation skills and adherence to tight deadline
• Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel (pivot charts / tables, macros, data models), Sage, Xero and, MS Dynamics 365 (ERP)
