Job description

Join Bristol Temple Quarter LLP, a dynamic public sector partnership helping to shape one of the UK’s largest and most ambitious regeneration programmes. As they deliver new homes, jobs and spaces near Bristol Temple Meads station, they’re seeking an Interim Finance Manager to play a key role in delivering financial excellence during this transformative journey.

Role: Finance Manager

Location:West of England Combined Authority

Set-up: Hybrid (to be discussed)

Rate:£32.75/hour via umbrella, inside IR35

Duration: 12 months

Hours:Full-time position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the preparation of financial reports, including management accounts, cashflows, and variance analysis across corporate and project areas
  • Develop financial models and multi-year budgets, and support the assessment of financial implications for major infrastructure and development projects
  • Interrogate forecasts and cost plans provided by third parties, ensuring robust financial controls and accurate outturn predictions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and LLP-specific tax requirements (e.g. VAT, CIS, Stamp Duty)
  • Improve and embed financial systems, processes, and controls, working across teams and with stakeholders to drive accountability and transparency

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a Limited Liability Partnership or public sector organisation, ideally within regeneration or large capital projects
  • End-to-end finance process expertise, including reporting, controls, and year-end procedures
  • Proficiency in accounting systems, with preference for experience using Xero
  • Strong project accounting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
