Migrant Help have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Finance Data Assurance Officer to join our team!

Location: Dover (Hybrid)
Contract: 12 months (with potential to be extended or made permanent)
Salary: GBP30,408

Finance Data Assurance Officer role

Part of the Finance team, the Finance Data Assurance Officer is a new and exciting role at Migrant Help. You will your key responsibilities will include monitoring data quality in relation to operational and contractual requirements. You will implement controls to prevent errors while ensuring that financial records comply with regulatory standards and internal policies. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that financial data accurately represents genuine charitable activities and funding sources.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensuring financial data across systems (finance, contacts, grants, donors) is accurate, consistent and up to date.
  • Monitoring data quality, ensuring compliance with contractual and organisational requirements.
  • Performing regular data reconciliation between financial statements and commercial contract information.
  • Conducting data quality checks and controls to detect and correct any anomalies or incomplete records.
  • Implementing controls to prevent any data anomalies or incomplete records, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded.
  • Maintaining data integrity across financial reporting processes.
  • Working with the finance team to ensure that reports reflect true financial performance.
  • Collaborating with finance and Technology and Transformation colleagues to improve data flows and system integrations.
Experience and skills
  • Experience working with finance systems and CRM/databases
  • Knowledge of data assurance techniques and best practices
  • Ability to reconcile data across multiple systems and reports, verifying inconsistencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to resolving challenges.
