Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG finance required.
  • Track record in operations-facing finance roles desired.
  • Understanding of waste, yield, and overhead drivers needed.
  • Ability to influence operational stakeholders without authority.

Join Our Finance Team at The Compleat Food Group!

We're excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join us.

In this role, you will play a critical part in translating operational performance into financial outcomes. This role partners closely with Operations and Supply Chain leaders to identify, quantify, prioritise, and track value delivery from Operational Excellence initiatives, including the War on Waste programme, covering food waste, yield loss, packaging waste, labour inefficiency, and energy.

The role ensures that War on Waste and wider OpEx activity delivers real, measurable P&L, cash, and carbon benefits, embedded into forecasts, budgets, and performance management across The Compleat Food Group.

Working Hours:

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30am – 5pm, and 8.30pm – 4pm on Fridays. We also offer Hybrid and flexible working.

This role will require frequent travel to our sites.

Your Duties Will Include:
  • Act as the finance lead for Operational Excellence and War on Waste programmes across manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Partner site leadership teams to understand waste drivers, yield loss, giveaway, rework, and inefficiency.
  • Provide fact-based challenge to operational assumptions, improvement plans, and savings claims
  • Quantify War on Waste opportunities and support prioritisation based on value, feasibility, speed to impact, and sustainability impact.
  • Translate operational waste metrics into clear financial value levers understood by both Finance and Operations.
  • Develop dashboards linking waste, yield, and operational KPIs to financial and carbon outcomes.
  • Build financial and commercial capability within operational teams around waste, yield, and value creation.
  • Help site leaders understand how daily decisions impact margin, cash, and carbon.
  • Champion a "waste is cost" mindset across the business.
  • Support monthly performance and OpEx reviews with clear, actionable insight.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in manufacturing or FMCG finance
  • Proven track record in operations-facing finance roles
  • Deep understanding of: Manufacturing cost structures, Waste, yield, labour, and overhead drivers
  • Ability to influence senior operational stakeholders without authority
