A leading London insurer is seeking a Finance Business Partner to build relationships and support budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate is a recently qualified accountant with up to 2 years of experience in a similar role within the insurance industry. This position involves collaboration with various teams to achieve financial goals aligned with strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Less than 2 years' experience in FP&A or Finance Business Partner roles within the insurance industry.
• Ability to articulate financial movements and drivers.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of budgets and forecast cycles.
• Own and sign off underwriting team(s) P&Ls.
• Deliver underwriting MI and provide commentary.
• Forecast quarterly and collaborate across teams.
• Contribute to annual business planning.

Job description

HFG are currently partnering with a leading London insurer in search for their next Finance Business Partner. The role will be building and maintaining strong relationships and collaborating with the business, understand and address finance needs, helping the business achieve its commercial and operational goals aligned with Strategic Initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of all budgets and forecast cycles to the underwriting teams
• Full ownership and sign off underwriting team(s) P&Ls, being able to articulate movements across all technical and non-technical items for all planning, forecasting and actual cycles, ensuring underwriting team leaders understand the drivers of their results
• Review, analyse and deliver a suite of underwriting MI to the underwriting team(s) and work with them to provide suitable commentary where appropriate
• Quarterly forecasting, including collaboration with underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance and other finance teams
• Coordination and contribution to the annual business planning cycle including the Lloyd\'s Syndicate Business Forecast (SBF) and full year corporate plan
