In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership and play a crucial part in shaping our financial management and strategic planning.

In your new role…

You’ll report into the FP&A Director and directly partner with the functional Directors and leadership teams. We work as part of a cluster which includes GB, Ireland and South Africa.

You’ll be responsible budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and data quality management and the key priority is to support growth of net sales improvement of the channel, customer margins and profitability.

A strong and influential communicator, you will be able to provide recommendations and challenge decision making to achieve our goals. You will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and work in partnership with the business areas to ensure profitable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and data quality management.
  • Support the growth of net sales, customer margins, and profitability.
  • Offer financial guidance to FP&A Director and cluster Managing Director in key business decisions related to cost development, investments, spends and efficiency improvements.
  • Cost control and expenses of cluster and local markets.
  • Conduct financial analyses and communicate key financial developments.
  • Offer financial guidance in key business decisions related to product/Business Unit profitability.
  • Evaluation of Investments / ROI / Pre-Post analyses.
  • Partner with the FP&A Director and MD to enhance financial development through active financial management and collaboration.
  • Prepare regular reporting on developments, business cases and proposals.
  • Coordinate and execute regular forecast and budget cycles within the cluster.
  • Ensure accurate rebate management.
  • Prepare pre- and post-calculations of promotions.
  • Support strategic and tactical business and financial process development under the guidance of the FP&A Director.

What you will bring:

  • Degree educated or equivalent professional finance qualifications (part or fully qualified will be considered) with evidence of continuous learning.
  • Proven work experience as a Business Controller/Finance Business partner in driving performance in a consumer products business across Sales B2C and/or Service operations.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and the ability to manage risks.
  • High analytical skills, proactive approach with the ability to identify issues, analyse problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in managing and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
  • Ability to lead financial projects and collaborate with various departments and senior management.

You’ll work in a hybrid role, both at home and in our Abingdon office, you will be required to work for up to 3 days per week in the office.
