  • Maintain the Sales Ledger debtors monthly.
  • Raise invoices for Rechargeable Repairs.
  • Perform daily bank postings and monthly reconciliations.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and handle queries.
  • Streamline and improve finance team initiatives.

Overview

Cairn is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key functions that support the Finance Department's objectives and KPIs. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced finance environment.

Location: Edinburgh, Bellshill, Inverness, Thurso & Irvine (with Hybrid Working)

Salary: £32,914 per annum rising to £34,647 on successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. Salary Note: All salaries at Cairn are under a standard benchmarking review and could be subject to change in April 2026

Work pattern: Full-time (34.5 hours per week), 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the Sales Ledger debtors monthly and highlight any issues in line with financial standards and KPI’s
  • Raise invoices in relation to Rechargeable Repairs
  • Daily bank postings and monthly reconciliations of all Cairn bank accounts
  • Daily reconciliations for AllPay control and rent suspense accounts
  • Rent control reconciliations
  • Manage the prepaid cards portal, posting of all transactions and monthly reconciliations
  • Reconcile supplier statements and deal with any supplier queries
  • Suggest and implement streamlining and improvement initiatives for the finance team
  • Provide cover during holiday/sick leave for other Finance Assistants to ensure there is no break in services provided during absences, planned or otherwise
