Job description

We are recruiting for a leading company in Telford who are looking for a Finance Assistant. They require someone to handle the day-to-day finance administration on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for:

  • Scanning incoming post and distributing.
  • Preparing and executing weekly payment runs.
  • Emailing remittance advices from weekly payment runs.
  • Updating the system with payments made.
  • Adding new customers and delivery addresses.
  • Requesting credit limits with the credit insurance company.
  • GL coding all incoming invoices.
  • Scanning relevant documents daily.
  • Checking travel and employee expenses.
  • Supporting credit control by sending statements weekly and maintaining the weekly AR report.
  • Running VAT reports weekly and monthly.
  • Preparing VAT calculations.
  • Running inventory reports weekly and assisting with stock transactions.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Releasing credit orders when required.
  • Supporting various company events.
  • Answering incoming calls.
  • Uploading legal documents when necessary.
  • Supporting general finance and office administration tasks.

Skills and Experience

They are looking for someone who is highly accurate with great attention to detail. Basic IT skills in emails, spreadsheets, and word processing are required. The candidate should have a professional demeanor and be a confident communicator.
