Were looking for a Finance Assistant to join a busy team in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of purchase ledger processes, support payroll, and contribute to the smooth running of finance and HR functions.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and matching with purchase orders and delivery notes
- Prepare and process BACS payment runs, generate creditor reports, and issue remittances
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies, liaising with suppliers as required
- Support payroll by processing timesheets, mileage claims, holiday pay averages, and distributing payslips
- Manage new starter and leaver documentation
- Track van deductions for P11Ds and oversee repairs/defect reporting for company vehicles
- Allocate staff hours to sites for billing purposes and monitor site performance using CVR data
- Liaise with staff on holidays and sickness, ensuring records are accurate
- Assist with document management and cross-departmental reporting
What Were Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using finance software
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
Working Hours
- Full-time: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am–5:00pm, Friday 8:30am–4:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
- Part-time hours can be considered
