Finance Assistant

Location : Bolton

Full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a busy Finance Department of a well regarded organisation based in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance or accounts experience to contribute to a professional and friendly team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain purchase ledgers, process invoices and ensure accurate financial coding and authorisation.
  • Prepare and process BACS payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Manage billing and credit control for specific services
  • Assist with the billing and other miscellaneous charges.
  • Process petty cash, staff expenses and credit card transactions.
  • Provide regular financial reports to budget holders and assist with queries.
  • Support other members of the finance team as required.

  • Experience working in a finance or accounts role.
  • Confident with purchase ledger and billing processes.
  • Strong numerical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using finance systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
