Finance Analyst - RtR Controlling

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract - Immediate start
Location: Bristol, (BS35 4DF)
Grade: RCS N
Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office

Working pattern is 37.5 hours a week over 5 days, 25 days holiday, potential bonus

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Finance Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform controlling processes in scope for the respective site/customer like month end, reporting & analysis
  • Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
  • Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
  • Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production at site/customer level Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
  • Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
  • Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
  • Ad hoc tasks as required Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Strong Excel, pivot tables, V Lookups and formulas
  • Clear, effective communicator
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • 1-2 years finance experience
  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements
  • Experience in accounting in a logistics or similar industry - desirable
