Location: South Lakes (easily commutable from Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Milnthorpe, Lancaster & Carnforth)
Contract: 6 Month Fix Term - Potential to be extended

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join the finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective financial management and sustainability the company.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director to provide high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and insight to support strategic decision-making across the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial reports to support leadership decisions.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor income and expenditure, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and compliance reports.
  • Provide financial modelling and scenario planning to inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial guidance and ensure effective budget management.
About You

You will be a motivated, analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. You will have a passion for using data to drive improvement and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Criteria
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills.
  • Experience in financial analysis, management accounts, or a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Desirable
  • Experience working in the public sector finance.
