Overview

Finance Analyst | £42-46k | Cultural Preservation Charity | 12-15 month FTC | Remote (must be living in UK)

This Finance Analyst position is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile heritage preservation organisation. You will play a key role in providing insightful analysis, supporting senior leaders, and driving decision-making across a range of directorates. Working closely with the Finance Business Partner and senior stakeholders, you'll deliver meaningful financial insight, challenge assumptions, and ensure the charity's resources are optimised to deliver maximum impact in the trading subsidiary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders, highlighting risks and opportunities that influence decision-making
  • Deliver insightful variance analysis to support monthly reporting and strategic planning
  • Work with directorate leadership to develop meaningful management information and reporting tools
  • Challenge budget holders on in-year forecasts and annual budgets to maximise performance and ensure accuracy
  • Support and build financial capability across budget holders and non-finance teams
  • Prepare investment appraisals for major projects, ensuring assumptions are robust and aligned with corporate objectives
  • Attend project board meetings to provide financial guidance and challenge where required
  • Partner with the Finance Business Partner on ad hoc projects, deputising when necessary
  • Collaborate with finance colleagues and stakeholders to improve analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes
Person Specification
  • Part- or fully-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Ideally have some experience in commercial functions
  • Ideally experience of working with investment appraisals and building business cases
  • Ability to present and explain financial information clearly to senior stakeholders and non-finance colleagues
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
  • Commercially aware with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decisions
