About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our friendly, supportive Client Welfare Services Team, supporting clients within the Adult Social Care directorate who are vulnerable or have reduced capacity and need help managing finances.


Key Responsibilities


  • Apply for and maximise benefits, with a good understanding of the welfare and benefits system (training will be provided).

  • Complete regular reviews of clients’ finances.

  • Pay invoices and provide personal monies promptly and accurately.

  • Contact providers such as utility companies, care providers, and housing organisations.

  • Liaise with Adult Social Care colleagues and the clients’ wider support network, including family and friends.


Qualifications

Excellent organisational and customer care skills with the ability to manage competing demands and workloads.


Good understanding of the welfare and benefits system (training will be provided).


Ability and willingness to communicate verbally with customers in accurate spoken English. This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.


Additional Requirements

Note: Applicants appointed to posts that require an enhanced DBS clearance must declare any periods of time that they have lived, studied or worked abroad and be prepared to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or a Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) relating to any time they were overseas.
