Job description

We are recruiting for a Final Assembly Supervisor.As part of the manufacturing process all parts and sub-assemblies are assembled after painting. This is done in a separate assembly facility from the main factory. This role is split between the office and factory floor.The main purpose of this role is to oversee the final assembly process of trailers including the specific tasks / responsibilities listed below. The successful candidate will integrate within the existing team with on the job training. Overtime may be required seasonally.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and workflow management of department: Job planning in conjunction with existing team and general supervision roles.
• Component stock control and supply chain management: This involves working closely with Suppliers, Line Operators and other internal departments to manage stock with a just in time approach.
• Processing of final assembly checks and build cards: The conducting and/or overseeing of quality tests pre dispatch. Documentation and processing of this in conjunction with other departments.
• Implementation of LEAN tools and principles: The use and implementation of lean tools with the aim to maintain quality, reduce struggle and boost productivity.
• Spare parts administration: Stock control and administration of spare parts and accessories in liaison with the Sales Team.

Skills and Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence or equivalent.
• Engineering qualifications.
• Previous experience of leadership/management.

Further Information
